Company Profile

I, Timothy A. Grove, am in my 18th year as a Systems Analyst/Programmer on the AS400/iSeries platform.

I have worked in the Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Transportation industries.   The majority of work was for various companies supplying the automotive industry.  Primary responsibility in those companies was EDI communication with the main five automotive manufacturers.  However, numerous other projects and systems work included inventory management, production scheduling, RF device integration, barcoding, accounting, and high availability.

I am continuing to learn the latest versions of the RPG language, and am incorporating new techniques such as embedded SQL.  My focus for the future is to develop better skills with the Microsoft Visual Studio product.

Since I have been in the computer industry for so long, I have "grown up" with the PC.  Through the years I have seen it go from being just a little more sophisticated than a dumb terminal, to a powerful business tool.  During this time, I have also had the duties of PC support, troubleshooting, and networking from time to time.  This allows me to offer Hardware, Software, and Networking services to businesses, and also to individuals.
